The Yakima Valley (17-18) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to the Blue Mountain (6-29) on Saturday.

A two-run double by Ashley Gonzales gave the Blue Mountain the lead in the seventh inning.

Nicole Brown picked up the win for the Blue Mountain. Brown pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out none.

Despite the loss, the Yakima Valley's Kayla Reynolds dominated the Blue Mountain's batters, giving up two runs and striking out five.

Reynolds (11-9) was the game's losing pitcher.
