Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the Centralia (6-10) outscored the Green River (4-13) 17-8.
The teams totaled 27 hits in the game.
Everything was working at the plate for the the Centralia in the fifth. The Centralia's bats caught fire leading to 10 runs.
Justin Rinta put himself in scoring position with four extra-base hits for the Centralia. He singled in the fourth inning, tripled in the fifth inning, and doubled in the fifth, eighth, and ninth innings.
Connor Atchison put together a nice outing. Atchison gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his two innings of work.
Even though Jake Conover allowed six runs over five innings he still recorded the victory, his second of the season. Conover struck out three, walked three and gave up eight hits.
Matt Seeley (0-3) took the loss for the Green River. He allowed nine runs in two-thirds of an inning, walked three and struck out one.
