Neel helps the Richmond RiverRats down the Lorain County Ironmen 7-3

Brendon Neel had two extra base hits, helping the Richmond RiverRats (24-35) to a 7-3 victory over the Lorain County Ironmen (20-40) on Monday at McBride Stadium.

He homered in the third inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

The Lorain County Ironmen couldn't get anything going so long as Matt Brankle was on the hill. The Lorain County Ironmen managed just two hits off of the the Richmond RiverRats' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his two innings of work.

Brady Womacks recorded his first win of the year for the Richmond RiverRats. He allowed three runs over three innings. Womacks struck out five, walked two and gave up two hits.

Corbin Angermeier (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked four, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

JD Rainwater, Will Farmer and Neel helped lead the Richmond RiverRats. They combined for six hits and three RBIs.
