The Quincy Gems (37-20) and the Hannibal Cavemen (23-34) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Quincy Gems that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 9-6 win at Quincy Stadium.

Dominic Miles racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Quincy Gems. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Preston Church racked up six strikeouts in the the Quincy Gems win. Church allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks over seven innings.

Dan Ferguson racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Hannibal Cavemen. He homered in the ninth inning.

Jalen Miller ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked seven and struck out three.
