The Danville Dans (27-23) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-3 to the Hannibal Cavemen (21-29) on Thursday.

A two-run single by Josh Griffith gave the Hannibal Cavemen the lead in the sixth inning.

Brett Marr reached base three times in the game for the Hannibal Cavemen. He singled in the first and sixth innings.

Grant Davis had an impressive outing against the Danville Dans' lineup. The Danville Dans managed just one hit off of Davis, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

AJ Childerson (3-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
