Ronnie Dawson had two extra base hits, sparking the Chillicothe Paints (32-15) to a 9-4 victory over the Richmond RiverRats (17-29) on Wednesday at VA Memorial Stadium.

Jason Johnson pitched lights out for the Chillicothe Paints. Johnson held the Richmond RiverRats hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Ryan Leffel racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Richmond RiverRats. He homered in the fifth inning.

Steve Huber got the win, running his season record to 2-3. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out seven, walked three and surrendered five hits.

Dalton Boucher (0-1) took the loss for the Richmond RiverRats. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

Chad Sedio, Dawson and Alex Ritchie helped lead the Chillicothe Paints. They combined for five hits and four RBIs.
