Christian Cavaness went 1-2 as the Hannibal Cavemen (20-28) took home a 4-2 victory over the Springfield Sliders (11-37) at Clemens Field on Wednesday.

Brendan Kleekamp picked up the win for the Hannibal Cavemen. Kleekamp allowed no earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out two over seven innings of work.

A J Fritts went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Springfield Sliders. He singled in the second, fourth, sixth, and eighth innings.

Kent Williams (0-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
