Clint Chestnut kept the Danville Dans (30-24) off the board during his 5 2/3 innings of work and the Terre Haute Rex (33-20) beat the Danville Dans, 2-1.

Chestnut allowed two hits, five walks and struck out one.

Cayce Bredlau had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth and seventh innings.

A bright spot for the Danville Dans in the defeat was Corbin Olmstead, who allowed only one run while striking out seven.
