The Quincy Gems (26-15) and the Terre Haute Rex (25-17) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Quincy Gems that eventually took advantage of them in a 2-1 win at Quincy Stadium.

The fact that the Quincy Gems grouped all of their runs into the third inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

Tyler Adkison went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Quincy Gems. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Tyler Knight put together a nice outing. The Terre Haute Rex managed just two hits off of the the Quincy Gems' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Levi Primasing couldn't get it done on the bump for the Terre Haute Rex, taking a loss. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
