T J Diffenderfer went 2-4 as the Chillicothe Paints (23-9) took home a 5-4 victory over the Richmond RiverRats (12-20) at McBride Stadium on Saturday.
He tripled in the second inning and singled in the seventh inning.The Richmond RiverRats couldn't get anything going as long as Shea Murray was pitching. Murray held the Richmond RiverRats hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Kyle Jackson had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first and third innings.
Bowie Matteson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
