A five-run explosion in the fourth inning spurred the Butler Blue Sox (14-10) to a 6-0 win in seven innings over the Lorain County Ironmen (9-15) at Pullman Park on Wednesday.

The Butler Blue Sox scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Nick Sell, an RBI single by Zac LaNeve, a two-run single by LaNeve, and a sacrifice fly by Taylor Schmidt.

Mitch Patishall pitched lights out for the Butler Blue Sox. The Lorain County Ironmen managed just four hits off of Patishall, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his five innings of work.

Logan Landon (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked seven and struck out two.
