A walk-off sacrifice fly from Chris Perkovich brought home the winning run for the Champion City Kings (10-5) in a 7-6 victory over the Terre Haute Rex (8-7) at Davidson Stadium on Sunday.

Perkovich racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Champion City Kings. He doubled in the sixth inning.

Jake Bennett had a hot bat for the Champion City Kings. Bennett went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the seventh inning and tripled in the ninth inning.

Tyler Lawrence led the Terre Haute Rex's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Keirce Kimbel improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Champion City Kings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Ben Morrison ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
