Collin Massanelli collected three hits, sparking the Butler Blue Sox (9-5) to a 4-3 victory over the Chillicothe Paints (9-5) on Friday at Pullman Park.

Justin Taylor handled the Chillicothe Paints' lineup with ease, racking up 10 strikeouts. Taylor allowed three earned runs on six hits and one walk over six innings.

Alex Ritchie was hot from the plate for the Chillicothe Paints. Ritchie went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the fourth inning.

Steve Huber pitched five innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four.

Jordan Pannell improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Butler Blue Sox. Pannell struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Bryce Arledge (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
