Paez's walk-off single send the Richmond RiverRats home winners, 5-4

A walk-off single from Michael Paez brought home the winning run for the Richmond RiverRats (6-11) in a 5-4 victory over the Danville Dans at McBride Stadium on Thursday.

Paez racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Richmond RiverRats. He doubled in the third inning, homered in the fifth inning, and singled in the ninth inning.

Austin Conway allowed two earned runs, seven hits and one walk while striking out three over eight innings of work.

Dylan Alexander racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Danville Dans (7-8). He homered in the fifth inning.

Chad Whitmer recorded his first win of the year for the Richmond RiverRats. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out none, walked three and surrendered no hits.

David Bourbonnais (0-1) took the loss for the Danville Dans. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
