A walk-off single from Christian Cavaness brought home the winning run for the Hannibal Cavemen (8-5) in a 3-2 victory over the Quincy Gems in 11 innings at Clemens Field on Tuesday.

Cavaness reached base four times in the game for the Hannibal Cavemen. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the eleventh inning.

Jake Eikleberry baffled the Quincy Gems (7-5), striking out six batters. Eikleberry allowed one earned run, three hits and four walks over seven innings.

Clinton Perez got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Tyler Knight was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
