Keegan Akin kept the West Virginia Miners (5-5) off the board during his 5 2/3 innings of work and the Chillicothe Paints (6-4) beat the West Virginia Miners, 3-0.

Akin allowed three hits, one walk and struck out four.

Ronnie Dawson paced the Chillicothe Paints at the plate. Dawson went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third innings.

Quinton Yocom ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
