The Richmond RiverRats (3-7) beat the Champion City Kings (5-4) 5-2 on Saturday at Davidson Stadium behind Michael Paez, who went 2-4.

Luke McGee picked up the win for the Richmond RiverRats. McGee allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Chris Perkovich was solid at the plate for the Champion City Kings. Perkovich went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Matthew Glasmann (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
