An excellent effort by Tyler Troutt carried the Quincy Gems (5-4) to a 10-0 win over the Springfield Sliders on Friday at Robin Roberts Field.
Troutt's nine strikeouts helped the Quincy Gems to the victory. The Quincy Gems' pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only three hits.
Adam McGinnis delivered a big hit off the bench in the five.. His pinch-hit single was the key moment in the Quincy Gems' 10-run win.
With the Quincy Gems leading by one, McGinnis came to the plate and singled.
McGinnis racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Quincy Gems.
