Ronnie Dawson had four RBIs as the Chillicothe Paints (2-3) took home a 5-1 victory over the Richmond RiverRats (1-3) at VA Memorial Stadium on Sunday.
He homered in the fifth inning.The Richmond RiverRats had no answer for Keegan Akin, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Richmond RiverRats managed just two hits off of Akin, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out six during his four innings of work.
Kurt Hoekstra improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Chillicothe Paints. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.
