The Lorain County Ironmen (4-5) beat the Richmond RiverRats (2-7) 3-2 on Thursday at McBride Stadium behind Jason McPeek, who went 1-4.

The Richmond RiverRats had no answer for Justin Fritts, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Richmond RiverRats managed just three hits off of Fritts, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Brendon Neel had two extra-base hits for the Richmond RiverRats. He homered in the second inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Jack Granath couldn't get it done on the mound for the Richmond RiverRats, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
