The Yakima Valley (22-13) continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, on the way to an 11-2 landslide win over the Wenatchee Valley at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.
The Yakima Valley scored seven runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Mikey Ramos, a sacrifice fly by Ryan Leone, a two-run single by Andrew Castillo, and a three-run double by Nate Giles.
The Wenatchee Valley (11-22) jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Wenatchee Valley were ahead until the fourth inning, but the Yakima Valley would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on a sacrifice fly by Leone.
Castillo racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Yakima Valley.
Hugo Lemus struck out 10, paving the way for a the Yakima Valley win. Lemus allowed two earned runs, nine hits and one walk over 6 2/3 innings.
Evan Johnson was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out one.
