The Big Bend (6-28) didn't put up much of a fight on Saturday, as the Spokane (30-12) cruised to a blowout 8-0 win in five innings at Spokane Falls Community College.
The Spokane scored three runs in the fifth on a two-run home run by Katelyn Geyer and an RBI single by Tasji Urhausen.
Geyer racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Spokane.
Lindsie Scholwinski held the Big Bend scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up nine.
Alexis Spence (5-8) took the loss for the Big Bend. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked two and struck out none.
