The Columbia Basin (13-17) didn't put up much of a fight on Friday, as the Wenatchee Valley (24-5) cruised to a blowout 9-1 win in five innings at Art Wright - Kent.
The Wenatchee Valley scored three runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Iris Rodriguez, an RBI single by Kinley Pope, an error, , and a single by Dani Sweigard.
Rodriguez racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Wenatchee Valley.
Liz Crookes had an impressive outing against the Columbia Basin's lineup. The Columbia Basin managed just two hits off of Crookes, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out three during his five innings of work.
Gabby Meza ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his sixth loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked four and struck out three.
