Janelle Randles was strong at the plate and on the mound in carrying the Columbia Basin (7-8) to a 8-3 victory over the Big Bend on Friday at BBCC Softball Field .

Randles racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Columbia Basin. He singled in the first inning and homered in the second inning.

The Columbia Basin got the win thanks in large part to Randles' dominant, seven-strikeout performance. Randles allowed no earned runs, nine hits and one walk over seven innings.

The Columbia Basin scored four runs in the first inning to build an early lead.

Tiffany King-Phillips got a hit in each of his three at bats. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.

Nicole Cameron (1-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in seven innings, walked three and struck out two.
