Hayden Meier went 2-4, helping the Columbia Basin (15-4) to a 10-7 victory over the Big Bend (12-9) on Wednesday at BBCC Baseball Field .

Stetson Plew put together a nice outing. The Big Bend managed just one hit off of the the Columbia Basin's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Yamane Jacob put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Big Bend. He singled in the second inning, homered in the fifth inning, and doubled in the seventh inning.

Kenton Brunson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed four runs over three innings. Brunson struck out one, walked two and gave up five hits.

Jordan Higley (2-3) took the loss for the Big Bend. He allowed nine runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out four.
