Early lead gives the Centralia easy victory over the Green River, 10-1

The Centralia (17-11) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Green River (5-16), recording a 10-1 victory on Saturday at Centralia .

With six runs in the first three innings, the Centralia left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Caitlyn Paul in the first inning and a two-run home run by Janice-Lee Knutz, an RBI single by Haley Graham, an RBI single by Graham, and a sacrifice fly by Paul during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Centralia.

Erika Brower reached base three times in the game for the Centralia. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the sixth inning.

Kalynn Randt put together a nice outing. The Green River managed just three hits off of the the Centralia's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out one during his six innings of work.

Rachel Barcena (3-13) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 10 runs in five innings, walked six and struck out four.
