The Centralia (8-9)'s three first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 4-2 win over the Green River (1-9) on Friday at Service Club- Kent.
Brooke Williams got the win for the Centralia thanks to six strikeouts. Williams allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk over five innings.
Kenicia McLellan paced the Green River at the plate. McLellan went 2-2 and drove in one. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the fourth inning.
Rachel Barcena ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his eighth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
