Boxscore | Game Recap | Boxscore Text Version | Gamelive Version

The Clackamas jump on the SW Oregon early and coast to 8-0 win

Story by Narrative Science.

The Clackamas (27-1) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the SW Oregon (19-10), recording an 8-0 victory on Wednesday at Southwestern Oregon Baseball Fi.

With five runs in the first three innings, the Clackamas left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A sacrifice fly by Rashaun Sells during the first inning and a groundout by Kandace Furlong, a two-run error, a double by Cassidy Edwards, an RBI single by Rachel Ray, and a single by Sells in the second inning fueled the Clackamas' offense early.

Edwards went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Clackamas.

Breann Morrison held the SW Oregon scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up five.

Samantha Burks (7-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked one and struck out one.
