Brenden Shaffer went 2-3, sparking the Chemeketa (14-16) to a 6-2 victory in seven innings over the Mt. Hood (11-18) on Saturday at Chemeketa Baseball Stadium.
He singled in the first innings and doubled in the fifth inning.Brady Williams improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Chemeketa. He allowed two runs over four innings. Williams struck out two, walked five and gave up one hit.
Jake Dahlberg ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
