Both the Everett (7-8) and the Mt. Hood (6-12) put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was the Everett that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 9-7 win at Mt Tahoma High School .
Corbin Duffy had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.
Ben Tamm had an impressive outing against the Mt. Hood's lineup. Tamm held the Mt. Hood hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.
It was a good day at the plate for the Mt. Hood's Tommy Lane. Lane went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.
The Everett were sparked by Duffy and John Naff, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
