Four first-inning runs helped the Mt. Hood (34-2) to a 6-2 win over the Chemeketa (22-18) at Wallace Marine Park on Tuesday.
Kasidee Lemberger went a perfect 4-4 at the dish for the Mt. Hood. He doubled in the first inning, homered in the fourth inning, and singled in the second and seventh innings.
Ann-Marie Guischer picked up the win for the Mt. Hood. Guischer allowed two earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.
Destinee Chang went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Chemeketa. He singled in the first and fifth innings.
Jessica Hotaling couldn't get it done on the hill for the Chemeketa, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
