The San Francisco Seagulls get on top of the South Bay Storm early but can't hang on in 4-3 loss

The San Francisco Seagulls (5-7) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 4-3 ballgame against the South Bay Storm (8-7) on Wednesday at St. Marys College.

The South Bay Storm took the lead in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Ryan OMalley.

Marcus Wise had a hot bat for the South Bay Storm. Wise went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

The San Francisco Seagulls couldn't get anything going as long as Clayton Nodal was pitching. Nodal held the San Francisco Seagulls hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.

Kyle Barret racked up three RBIs on one hit for the San Francisco Seagulls. He doubled in the third inning.

Jordan Talbot couldn't get it done on the hill for the San Francisco Seagulls, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
