Six first-inning runs helped the Lake Norman Copperheads (24-13) to a 6-1 win over the Morganton Aggies (13-16) at Hopewell HS on Friday.

Joe Pistacchio put together a nice outing. The Morganton Aggies managed just three hits off of Pistacchio, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out five during his six innings of work.

Corey Hargus couldn't get it done on the bump for the Morganton Aggies, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in two-thirds of an inning, walked four and struck out one.
