The Manitoba fall 8-0 at the hands of the New Brunswick

Story by Narrative Science.

The Manitoba (1-1) didn't stand a chance on Thursday, as the New Brunswick (2-0) captured a blowout 8-0 win in seven innings at St-Etienne-des-Gres.

A home run by Ryan Van Snick helped the New Brunswick score four runs in the fifth. The New Brunswick had three hits in the inning.

Van Snick racked up four RBIs on one hit for the New Brunswick.

The Manitoba had no answer for Sam Lund, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Lund gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his five innings of work.

Hayden Penner couldn't get it done on the hill for the Manitoba, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
