Jon Anderson tossed a shutout to lift the Butler Blue Sox (5-4) to a 1-0 win over the Richmond RiverRats (5-4) at Pullman Park in seven innings.

The Butler Blue Sox's Anderson kept the Richmond RiverRats off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on three hits while striking out five.

Alex Miklos pushed the Butler Blue Sox ahead, in the sixth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. Jordan Schwartz singled to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to third on a single by Russell Clark.

Tyler Iago ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
