An eight-run explosion in the eighth inning hoisted the California Glory (2-2) to a 14-7 win over the Sacramento Ms (3-2) at Tony Zupo Field on Sunday.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the eighth, with eight lead changes.
David Johnson racked up three RBIs on four hits for the California Glory. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.
The Sacramento Ms had no answer for Drew Fittry, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Sacramento Ms managed just one hit off of Fittry, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his 3 2/3 innings of work.
