The Edmonton Prospects (6-26) had a tough outing on Thursday, as the Weyburn Beavers (12-20) dominated in a 10-3 win at Tom Laing Park.

The Weyburn Beavers scored four runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Chris Manning, a fielder's choice, , and a single by Dusty Kerns.

Perry Rogan was hot from the plate for the Weyburn Beavers. Rogan went 4-5, drove in one and scored four runs. He singled in the second, sixth, and seventh innings and homered in the eighth inning.

Ryan Johnson got the win, running his season record to 3-0. He allowed three runs over six innings. Johnson struck out four, walked four and gave up six hits.

Justin Hanks was charged with his seventh loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in six innings, walked three and struck out four.
