The Melville Millionaires (10-7) beat the Regina Red Sox (9-8) 7-2 in seven innings on Saturday at Pirie Field behind Cody Rosecrans, who went 1-2.

The Melville Millionaires relied on Homero Ortiz to eat up innings en route to the win. Ortiz pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and one walk while striking out three.

Pier-Olivier Dostaler got a hit in each of his three at bats. He singled in the second, fifth, and seventh innings.

The Melville Millionaires couldn't get anything going as long as Robert Price was pitching. The Melville Millionaires managed just one hit off of the the Regina Red Sox's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 1 2/3 innings of work.

Bronson Gillam couldn't get it done on the mound for the Regina Red Sox, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
