The Medicine Hat Mavericks (11-2) outlasted the Okotoks Dawgs (8-3) on Saturday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 7-5 win at Athletic Park.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks finally managed to grab the lead after a strong seventh inning. A fielder's choice scored Guilliume Gingras and gave the Medicine Hat Mavericks the lead for good.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks would not relinquish the lead as the Okotoks Dawgs were unable to weather a three-run seventh inning deficit.

The Okotoks Dawgs scored one run in the ninth on an RBI double by Thomas Rodrigues. Still, the Okotoks Dawgs couldn't catch the Medicine Hat Mavericks.

Joel Lutz racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Alex Graham recorded his third win of the year for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Graham struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Ryan Serrato couldn't get it done on the hill for the Okotoks Dawgs, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
