The Lethbridge Bulls (3-6) failed to take advantage of great day from Andrew Case on Tuesday, losing 2-1 to the Medicine Hat Mavericks (9-1) at Athletic Park.
Case brought the heat against the Medicine Hat Mavericks during his outing. The Medicine Hat Mavericks managed just one hit off of the the Lethbridge Bulls' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his seven innings of work.
The Lethbridge Bulls had the lead early, but couldn't hold off the Medicine Hat Mavericks. The Lethbridge Bulls were ahead until the ninth inning, but the Medicine Hat Mavericks would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on an RBI single by CJ DeDeaux.
Billy Martin allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out two over seven innings of work.
Alex Graham improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Graham struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.
Archie Davis couldn't get it done on the hill for the Lethbridge Bulls, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
