Three first-inning runs helped the Melville Millionaires (2-1) to a 10-5 win over the Weyburn Beavers (1-2) at Pirie Field on Saturday.

Casey Coyle led the Melville Millionaires' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored two runs and had two RBIs. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

The Melville Millionaires relied on Mitchell Bro to eat up innings en route to the win. Bro allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings of work.

Kurtis McCallum was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Melville Millionaires batters and allowing one run.

Chris Housley was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out five.
