The Fort Worth Cats seize victory thanks to late hit into a fielder's choice, drop the Edinburg Roadrunners 8-4

The Fort Worth Cats (5-0) outlasted the Edinburg Roadrunners (0-4) on Saturday after four lead changes, squeaking out a 8-4 win at LaGrave Field.

The Fort Worth Cats pulled out the win thanks to a strong sixth inning. A fielder's choice scored Shelby Ford and gave the Fort Worth Cats the lead for good.

Jose Canseco racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Fort Worth Cats. He homered in the third inning.

The Edinburg Roadrunners had no answer for Aaron Wilkerson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Wilkerson held the Edinburg Roadrunners hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out eight.

T.J. Bozeman got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. Bozeman struck out three, walked none and gave up no hits.

Chris Treibt was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
