Downing struck out five and allowed three walks and four hits.

A walk-off double by Charlie Calamia gave the Santa Fe Fuego the win.

Calamia racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Santa Fe Fuego. He doubled in the ninth inning.

Jimmy Maxwell got on base four times in the game for the Santa Fe Fuego. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the seventh inning.

Charlie McCready improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Santa Fe Fuego. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Phil Richmond (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
