Will Walsh went 5-5 at the plate, helping the Las Vegas Train Robbers (41-27) to a 10-5 victory over the Taos Blizzard (24-42) on Friday at Rodriguez Park.
He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings.Shayne Miller brought the heat against the Taos Blizzard during his outing. Miller held the Taos Blizzard hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five.
Taylor Oldham reached base three times. He singled in the fifth and ninth innings.
Kager Hopkins got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He allowed four runs over six innings. Hopkins struck out five, walked five and gave up eight hits.
Kody Gordan (1-2) took the loss for the Taos Blizzard. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out none.
