Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Roswell Invaders (30-9) outscored the Taos Blizzard (15-22) 13-10.
The two teams combined for 25 hits in the game.
Goose Kallunki put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Roswell Invaders. He singled in the second and sixth innings and doubled in the third and eighth innings.
Matt Scruggs racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Taos Blizzard. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Even though Andrew Shoemaker allowed five runs over three innings he still recorded the victory, his fourth of the season. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered six hits.
Adam Shopick (0-1) took the loss for the Taos Blizzard. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
Roger Bernal, Ryan Normoyle, Kallunki and Reggie Taylor helped lead the Roswell Invaders. They combined for 11 hits and nine RBIs.
