The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (1-5) were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the Laredo Lemurs (6-0) on Friday, as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks fell 5-3 at Uni-Trade Stadium after falling behind by three runs in the third inning.

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks scored on an RBI single by Tim Alberts in the sixth inning and an RBI double by Alberts in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks couldn't finish the comeback.

Jon Gaston reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the seventh innings.

Mark Serrano picked up the win for the Laredo Lemurs. Serrano allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out three over six innings of work.

Zach Penprase led the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He doubled in the first inning.

Alex Caldera couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
