Friday was a great day for Royce Consigli, as he hit two home runs to carry the Quebec Capitales (2-0) to a 10-1 victory over the Trois-Rivieres Aigles (0-2) at Le Stade Municipal.
Karl Gelinas pitched lights out for the Quebec Capitales. Gelinas gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven during his five innings of work.
Jeff Shields (0-1) took the loss for the Trois-Rivieres Aigles. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
Sebastien Boucher, Jonathan Malo and Consigli helped lead the Quebec Capitales. They combined for seven hits and eight RBIs.
