The Chicago Bandits get key pinch-hit in 6-2 victory over the Akron Racers

Alisa Goler was cold coming off the bench, but Goler warmed up quickly as Goler stroked a key pinch-hit double in the five to lead the Chicago Bandits (33-10) to a 6-2 win over the Akron Racers (14-29) on Saturday at Firestone Stadium.

With the game scoreless in the fifth inning Goler came to the plate and doubled.

Goler racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Chicago Bandits.

The Chicago Bandits relied on Andi Williamson to eat up innings en route to the win. Williamson pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and four walks while striking out four.

Tess Sito paced the Akron Racers at the plate. Sito went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. She singled in the second inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Rachele Fico was charged with her seventh loss of the year. She lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
