Monica Abbott threw a shutout to lift the Chicago Bandits (3-1) to a 14-0 win over the Akron Racers (1-3) at The Ballpark at Rosemont.

Abbott struck out 11 hitters en route to the the Chicago Bandits win. The Chicago Bandits' pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only one hit.

The biggest inning for the Chicago Bandits was the second. The Chicago Bandits' bats caught fire leading to nine runs.

Megan Wiggins racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Chicago Bandits. She doubled in the second inning and homered in the second inning.

Hillary Bach (0-1) took the loss for the Akron Racers. She allowed seven runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.
