The Quincy Gems (31-16) and the Springfield Sliders (8-39) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Quincy Gems capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 3-1 win at Robin Roberts Field.

The Quincy Gems were led by Mike Wilson's hitting. Wilson went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the fifth, seventh, and eighth innings.

Brady Arenson picked up the win for the Quincy Gems. Arenson pitched nine innings and allowed one earned run, nine hits and one walk while striking out seven.

Zach Wendorf couldn't get it done on the mound for the Springfield Sliders, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
